What causes neuromas?
Neuromas are common in those who wear high heels or tight shoes. Does that sound like you?
What is the treatment available to you?
We would begin conservatively, alleviating your symptoms with anti-inflammatory medication, resting the affected foot, icing and better fitting shoes. In some cases, we’d use a cortisone injection for a more rapid symptom relief. If none of the conservative therapies relieve your pain, then we might recommend surgery.
It’s important to note that Brooklyn Podiatry offers comprehensive treatment. Surgery is only recommended after all conservative treatments have been satisfied.
